Our Services

Political and economic direction is delivered across four practice areas and a range of engagement formats. Every service is built around a single objective of giving your organization the clarity and confidence to act.

Our Services

Practice areas

  • The data tells you what has already happened; our work explains why it was about to happen. We track shifts in global power, alliance and regional dynamics, conflict and crisis, elections and political change, and the behavior of major powers, and out of that tracking come geopolitical risk assessments, scenario analyses for consequential decisions such as market entry, investment, and acquisition, and ongoing monitoring built for early warning.

  • The global trading system is being restructured, and we help you navigate the rules as they are rewritten. Trade policy moves in episodes, and each episode has a window. The team works through the life of a measure in three stages.

    • Before it is announced. The team tracks negotiations, export controls and sanctions, industrial and subsidy policy, and the political signals that precede action, so clients are not surprised by what arrives.

    • When it lands. When a tariff is imposed, an export control takes effect, or a subsidy program is announced, the team quantifies what the measure does to margins, costs, and supply, identifies which positions are exposed, and assesses the impact on specific supply chains and market access.

    • Afterward. The team advises on operating under the new architecture, through policy outlooks with commercial implications, impact assessments of proposed measures, and strategies for supply chain reorganization, standards, and market access.

  • Where technology and policy intersect, advantage is decided, and our team works at the intersections that matter most. Each is a standing area of work:

    • Artificial Intelligence. We track capability developments and deployment economics, and the policy frameworks being written around them, so clients can judge where AI changes their market and where it is a distraction.

    • Semiconductors. We follow supply, export controls, and fab and equipment positions, and the strategic value that now attaches to them.

    • Energy technology. We assess storage, grids, and the policy that will determine which technology wins in each market.

    • Digital standards.  We identify the standards that will become market access, and where clients can still influence them before they are locked in.

    • State competition in technology. We track subsidies, export controls, and alliance behavior, and what they mean for the competitive position of each major economy.

From this work, clients receive technology strategy briefings written to be used in board meetings and investment committees, assessments of competitive positioning, and guidance on where policy will reshape the markets they operate in.

  • Security and economics are converging, and we help you plan for both.

    • What we cover:  defense capabilities and modernization, and the capability gaps that determine where budgets will move next; procurement and budget trends, read for the windows they open for suppliers; the defense industrial base and its concentrations; dual-use technology at the point where the civilian and military lines stop being distinct; and alliance and regional security, where new demand is appearing in markets that did not use to buy defense equipment.

    • What we deliver: market and capability assessments tied to specific budget lines, market entry and partnership strategies for companies moving into the sector, and positioning for security-driven demand, including for the industrial and technology companies whose products have quietly become part of national capability.
